Joint Management / Employee Committees
To provide employees and students with a recognized mechanism in which to exercise their rights to participate in decision-making affecting their health and safety as provided by law, and in recognition of the wealth of experience and expertise at all levels the institution, provision has been made for the establishment of a network of health and safety committees and union-appointed safety representatives. These mechanisms, which allow for employee and student participation, also provide the framework for the internal responsibility system.
